This month’s Blog Theme is “Summer Sunshine”. Very timely because it’s my birthday and Wimbledon. That makes me think of Pimm’s in the garden and lovely cocktails (and mocktails) with family and friends.
I chose the Cheers and Sip Bundle from the Stampin’ Up!®️ Online Exclusives selection, I love the bright colours and the mix and match of patterns in the Designer Series Paper ( DSP). The dies cut selected images from the DSP too. I had a wonderful crafty session last weekend with my friend Julie Sutcliffe. Today’s card is based on a card we made then.

The card is a good opportunity to practice your measuring skills, lots of cutting and folding of card stock and paper. You need to begin by getting everything together.

Cut a piece of Strawberry Slush card in half at 10.5cm. Trim the long edge to 28cm.
Score at 2.5, 5, 9, 13 & 20.5cm.

Burnish folds using a bone folder.

Using card stock that coordinates with your DSP.
Cut mat layers.
10 x 7cm, 10 x 3.5cm & 10 x 2cm.
Cut squares
7.3 x 7.3, 6.3 x 6.3 & 5.3 x 5.3cm
Cut DSP
9.5 x 6.5, 9.5 x 3 & 9.5 x 1.5cm
Cut DSP squares
6.8 x 6.8, 5.8 x 5.8 & 4.8 x 4.8cm
Cut Basic White
4 x 1.5cm for greeting.

Stick the DSP onto the mat layers and squares and then stick them onto the precut and scored card base as shown.

Fussy cut a selection of drinks and place them onto the squares. Once you are happy with the position use multi purpose adhesive and Dimensionals to fix them in place.
Use a ruler to help you to position the squares correctly onto the card base.

Stamp the greeting onto the white card using coordinating ink, stick to the centre of the bottom panel.

I added some of the embellishments from the suite to finish off the card. The completed product is below.

I hope you will enjoy having a go at making this card, I would love to see your results- feel free to email or message me with your pics- include your address, the postie might visit!
