Another month on and another Blog Hop card project. This month’s theme is Springtime. I chose the lovely Easter Joy DSP and the Easter Basket bundle to make my card. The papers gave me a chance to revisit the “In Colours” that will be retiring at the end of next month- they will be replaced by 5 gorgeous new colours. I have had a sneak peak and I love them! Maybe I will use them next month.
I’m all packed and ready to go to Cologne for the annual Stampin’ Up! ® On Stage event when we get to see the new catalogue, new colours and new products. We can order a small selection whilst we are there and get them delivered when we get back. We also celebrate success for demonstrators and craft together. Can’t wait!

Ok, let’s get started. Collect everything together 
– Paper Trimmer
– Easter Basket bundle
– Everyday Arches dies
– Easter Joy Designer Series Paper (DSP)
– Coordinating Cardstock – I chose Pretty in Pink for the card base, Shy Shamrock, Peach Pie & Lemon Lolly for die cuts
– Basis White Cardstock 
– Black Memento ink
– Balmy Blue, Pretty in Pink, Peach Pie, Shy Shamrock, Daffodil Delight & Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends.
– Easter Assortment embellishments

Using the Pretty In Pink card, cut a strip 7cm x 29.5cm.

Now we are going to die cut the main panels.Using the same Pretty In Pink card, cut out 3 arches using the largest die – 10cm bottom edge and cut out 1 arch in a smaller size – 8cm bottom edge. Emboss using the embossing folder.Cut out 5 arches using the 8cm arch die from the DSP.

Use Basic White card and die cut 2 smaller arches – 5.8cm bottom edge.Using the Shy Shamrock card, cut the basket and 3 sets of leaves and then cut flower heads in your choice of colour.

Die cut basket, basket edging and strips, bow, flowers and flower stems from appropriately coloured Cardstock.

Attach the 3 large pink arches to the 7cm x 29.5cm piece of card leaving a 2mm gap between each arch. Liquid adhesive or tape will work.

Attach 3 of the coordinating DSP arches to the back of the card base, covering the strip of card to hold the 3 arches together.

Take the basket die cuts.
Weave the paper strips through the basket pieces as shown. Trim the edges of the strips so that they are not visible from the front face. Take the white basket piece and cut off the top part – handle and middle piece. Stick it to the reverse of the coloured basket with liquid glue. This will hold the strips in place.

Decorate the front of the basket with the ribbon and bow. Stamp the white piece that fits between the handle and the basket with the flower blossom stamp. Colour using Stampin’ Blends. Apply glue to the back of the bow and place the basket on top of the coloured in piece. Stick to the centre panel of the card using glue.

Take the small white arches and stamp a greeting on one. Decorate with die cut flowers and attach to the left hand panel with glue. 

Attach the other piece to the right hand panel. Stamp out one of the rabbits and colour with Stampin’ Blends. Die cut and attach to the bottom of the right hand panel, leaving room for writing a message. 
Add some of the Easter Assortment embellishments.
