This months card is on a masculine theme. I chose the Trusty Tools stamps and dies along with the Layered Thoughts stamp for the greeting. I also wanted to use some of the new In Colour collection products to bring a new feel to these favourite returning tool stamps.
Secret Sea is so dark that I used it for the sentiment as well as the outline. As it’s water based I could colour using Stampin’ Blends or use the infill stamps – I did a bit of both. Colouring is growing on me as I use the blends more!
Begin by collecting everything you need.

Using Secret Sea ink, stamp your Happy Birthday greeting onto a piece of Basic White card, measuring 10 x 5.5cm.

Using Secret Sea ink stamp a selection of tool outlines onto a Timid Tiger mat layer measuring 10 x 14.3cm.

On a scrap piece of Basic White card, stamp out images of tools, I chose hammer, spanner and tape measure. Colour in and die cut.

Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the greeting 4.5cm from the top of the Timid Tiger layer. Attach to a Secret Sea card base. Arrange the tools on the front so that they tuck under the greeting, using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Stick the tape measure to the outside of the label.

Cut a piece of Basic White card to go inside the card, stamp with images from the set.

The completed card is shown below.
