Welcome to my latest card project “blog hop” which has a festive theme.

Collect everything you need to make your card.

Cut a piece of A4 Cardstock to 28cm x 14cm, score on the long edge at 3cm and 8.5cm from each end. Use a bone folder to give a crisp edge. The 8.5cm folds will cross over until you fold the 3cm folds back like wings. Once you have done that the edges should meet in the centre.

Choose 2 coordinating papers. Cut 2 x 13.5cm x 2.5cm pieces from the more subtle paper. Cut 2 x 13.5cm x 5cm pieces from the other paper. Use multipurpose adhesive to stick the narrow paper strips to the fold back flaps and the wider strips behind them.

Die cut a contrasting 7.5cm circle using the largest of the Stitched Stylish Shapes dies and a 6.5cm white circle. Stamp a greeting onto the white circle and then attach to the contrasting circle with multipurpose adhesive.

Cut a contrasting insert 12.5cm x 11.5cm and a white layer 11.5cm x 10.5cm. Stamp a greeting and decorate. Adhere white layer onto contrasting mat and adhere that to the inside of the card.

There are two ways to attach the circle to the card. You can adhere to the left hand side of the card, allowing the card to open.

Alternatively, you can cut a strip of card 3cm x 21cm to go around the card and adhere it to the circle. You would need to remove this to open the card.
