At the moment my desk is covered with all things beach related including seaside and coastal themes. I have been busy with the “Under The Sun” ephemera pack from Stampin! Up!®️. I have created a video and a PDF file that you will soon be able to access from my website.
As you may guess from my comments above, today’s card uses a Seaside/ Coastal theme. I am sharing a non stamping card that you can repeat with almost any Designer Series Paper or other design that you have created.

I chose one of the card pieces from the April Paper Pumpkin box and added Pecan Pie for the card layer and Coastal Cabana for the shadows pieces. It works well with dark colours too. The finished look reminds me of looking out through a beach hut window.

So let’s get everything together as shown in the list and picture below.

Card Base
 Pecan Pie : 21.0cm × 14.8cm, scored at 10.5cm.
Mat Layer Basic White: 14.3cm × 10.0cm.
Shadow Squares  CoastaCabana Cardstock : Cut twelve 2.8cm × 2.8cm squares.
Scenic Panels (April Paper Pumpkin Boardwalk Scene): Cut one focal piece of the scene to 7.5cm × 10.0cm.
Linen Thread
All Purpose Adhesive

Take your 7.5cm × 10.0cm scene and slice it vertically into three 2.5cm wide strips. Keep them in order on your desk!
Turn each strip and cut horizontally every 2.5cm.
You will end up with twelve 2.5cm × 2.5cm squares.
Top Tip: Keep the squares laid out on your desk like a puzzle so you don’t lose the track of the image!

Stick each scenic square onto a Coastal Cabana shadow square. Centring them gives a 1.5mm faux-wood frame around each part of the boardwalk. Lay your Pecan Pie mat flat.

Affix Dimensions to the shadow pieces. I like to add a dab of adhesive onto each dimensional- it allows a bit of movement to get everything aligned properly, the Dimensionals are fairly permanent otherwise.

Lightly position your four corner squares first to establish your outer borders.
Glue the top row, then the bottom row, and fill in the center squares last. This naturally creates perfectly even gaps without needing a ruler!

I have added some Linen Thread between the rows, I secured it on the back with double sided tape.
I then added a pre-made sentiment from the Sincerely Noted Ephemera pack that was open on my table. I could have stamped my own sentiment using Pecan Pie ink.

I didn’t add embellishments on this card but in the first image, showing all the products, you can see a couple of packs that would be suitable.

The finished card is shown below.
