This month’s blog hop card uses the lovely Online Exclusive “ Mixed Floral” bundle. My inspiration comes from the very top of Stampin’ Up!®. I had a lovely card from the creators Sara and Shelli congratulating me on some good news a little while ago. My style is very different to the one I received but could easily be adapted to the same style.

Collect everything you need together. You can easily change the colour of your flowers if you wish, just choose a different colour mounting card and Stampin’ Blends!

Cut a card base (14.8cm x 21cm, scored at 10.5cm) from thick basic white card. Cut a mat layer (14.3x 10 cm) from Bubble Bath card stock. Cut a layer from Basic White card stock, and pass it through the cut and emboss machine using the Cane Weave 3D embossing folder.

On a scrap piece of Basic White card stock, stamp the design using the Memento ink.

Colour the little blossom flowers, I used blue because they remind me of forget-me-nots. I used shades of pink for the “tulip” type flowers and Old Olive for the leaves.

I started with an overall colouring of the light shade of each colour and then added shading with the darker shade. I then went back over with the lighter colour so that the colours blended evenly.

I keep going back and forth until I am happy with the colours. I am not someone who is a “natural” when it comes to colouring but I really enjoy using the Stampin’ Blends!.

Once I was happy with the colouring, I cut out the image. You can use the super sharp Stampin’ Snips or use the matching die from the bundle. Stamp a sentiment onto Basic White card stock

Assemble the card. Put the pink layer onto the base using multi purpose adhesive. Stick the embossed later on-top of that.

Add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the cut out image and place onto the card front. Trim the sentiment to size and attach to the card front.

Stamp the flower sprig image and  “Happy Birthday” sentiment inside the card and allow to dry. You can leave or colour the flower sprig with light blue blend.

Add embellishments- I chose pretty pink sequins as you can see. The resulting finished card is below.
